Here Come The Hoopers is a blog about a North East Family of four. Cat and Alan Hooper have been married for over 10 years now and have two gorgeous daughters Imogen born in 2007 and Abigail in 2011 to complete their troop.
Alan Hooper
Alan has been born and raised in Newcastle upon Tyne. Which is also where he has lived for his entire life.
Alan has been working with websites for around 17 years now, but only just started on the concept of blogging locally. Past websites include HiddenWDW.com, HiddenDLRP.com, MrTambo.com and a few others. All of which are based around Disney Theme Parks. Disney has played a huge part in his life, including being a podcaster on the weekly Disney Brit Podcast.
During the day Alan is a partner in their family ran, sign making business Hooper Signs. Where he has worked for over 20 years.
When all that stuff is out of the way and the bills are paid, he is a caring father for his two girls and tries to keep the family entertained. He also seriously rocks in a cardigan!
Future Challenges: Complete the Disneyland Half Marathon in a decent time.
Cat Hooper
Cat has also been born and raised in the North East, ‘south of the water’ in Jarrow and East Boldon before settling in Gosforth, Newcastle to start the family.
Cat works part-time at a local university in administration. On her days off, once the boring chores are done, she enjoys coffees and catching up with friends.
Cat loves to plan days and weekends away with family and friends, and re-discovered camping last year. As long as the wine is flowing and the children are happy its a perfect cheap break away…if it doesn’t rain that’s a huge bonus!
Cat’s interests include volunteering with the Girl Guides through Rainbows, raising money for the local school in the PTA, and planning trips to Orlando.
Future Challenges: Complete the Disneyland Half Marathon in any kind of time and to survive the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge in April.
